Change

Change is always exciting, we think so anyways :) And watching this building at 1800 N. Scottsdale take shape is very cool. It has been vacant for some time and we have driven by time and again thinking, "That would be a really cool place to move the Scottsdale and Thomas store to. It's still on Scottsdale Road, right next to the Post Office... it's perfect!" And yes it is. Totally perfect.

This isn't the first time we have watched and waited anxiously for a perfect new store location to transform, either from the ground up or remodel like what we are watching now at 1800 North. In fact, watching this has made me quite nostalgic. So I went and dug up some old pictures to share. Hope you enjoy :)


First location ever.
Paul purchased an existing Scottsdale Hardware in April of 1956 
on the NorthWest corner of Scottsdale and Thomas Roads.

Second location ever. It may look a little familiar.
It's currently the Tire Pros on Scottsdale Road.

 

The old Post Office on 4th Street...



became our third location in Scottsdale - I sure miss that building!

Of course from the Old Post Office on 4th Street, we moved to where we are currently at the SouthEast corner of Scottsdale and Thomas Roads, back to our roots. Now, time for more change.
